My 2018 Summer Bucket List

June 1, 2018

It’s officially June babes, so in my book, it’s SUMMER! Summer has always been a magical time of the year for me. When I was a kid, summer meant freedom and happiness, and it still means the same to me now as an adult. This summer is going to be the best summer ever, I am declaring it now! Anyway, here’s my 2018 summer bucket list, leave me a comment down below and let me know what your plans for the summer are. I would really love to know!

HAVE A PICNIC IN THE PARK

Just imagine, sitting in the park, drinking champagne or sparkling water, eating fruit, chilling with your friends on a warm day. If that doesn’t sound like perfection for you, I don’t know what will.

GO TO A BASEBALL GAME

Specifically a Royals game here in Kansas City. I haven’t been to a game since I was 12 and that was 10 years ago!

START A REGULAR YOGA PRACTICE

For my birthday, my bestie took me to goat yoga and it really reignited my love for yoga. I used to practice with my mom and do random poses with my friends, but I’ve never had a regular practice. I would love to get to the point where I can easily do a 30-minute flow or take a class and feel confident!

TIE DYE SHIRTS

Don’t tell me that you don’t think about summer when you see tie-dye clothing, it’s a summer staple! I used to have a ton of tie-dye shirts, but I got rid of them or I lost them, so now I want to make some more! Honestly, tie-dying is more about the experience than the end result, it’s just fun to hang with your gals, sit outside, drink some lemonade, tie up a bunch of shirts, and throw some dye on ’em!

SPEND A DAY EXPLORING MY CITY

I have lived in the Kansas City area my entire life, and yet I still don’t know my way downtown! There’s always new shops and restaurants popping up, so there’s always something new to see. I would love to go have brekkie downtown, then go shop at the city market, then take some pictures with all of the cool murals, and then grab a matcha and a snack!

TAKE A FITNESS CLASS

This one is connected to #3, starting a yoga practice, I want to take a yoga class to better my skills and make sure I’m doing the poses correctly. I’ve always wanted to take classes, but I’ve been too chicken to go! This summer I want to get over that fear, be a boss, and just do it!

GROW A HERB GARDEN

I’ve always dreamed of cooking with my own herbs from my own garden and this summer I’m going to make it happen! There’s something that sounds so fulfilling about growing something yourself and then eating the things you’ve grown yourself. I want to experience it badly.

GO TO A DRIVE-IN MOVIE

There’s literally a drive-in movie theater 25 minutes from where I live but I’ve never been before! This summer I want to change that and go see a drive-in movie with my girls. I really don’t care what I see as long as I’m in my car, with tons of snacks, a giant slushy, and a big ol’ blanket to cuddle up with.

HAVE A PAINTING PARTY

I just think it would be so much fun to have a group of friends over, drink some wine, paint some pretty things on canvases, and listen to jazz music. Honestly, sounds like the most perfect night.

GO SWIMMING… LIKE A LOT

My mom and I recently moved into a house with a big saltwater pool and it’s already been so much fun! Literally, since we’ve opened it, I’ve used it almost every single day. I am just including it on this list because I obviously I am going to swim, but I want to swim tons and tons this summer. That’s what summer is about, amirite ladies?
